The Houston Cougars have made a major change to their coaching staff.
The Cougars announced on Sunday that they have fired defensive coordinator Mark D’Onofrio.
D’Onofrio was in his second season as the team’s defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach.
Houston is 8-4 and has allowed an averaged of nearly 55 points per game in their losses. They lost three of their final four games. They allowed 52 points to Memphis on Friday.
