Jimbo Fisher issues statement about postgame incident involving nephew
Jimbo Fisher issued a statement on Monday about the postgame incident involving his nephew, Cole.
Texas A&M beat LSU 74-72 in seven overtimes on Saturday night at Kyle Field in College Station. After the game, a scuffle broke out between Cole Fisher, an undergraduate student manager for A&M, and some LSU players/personnel. Fisher is alleged to have struck LSU analyst Steve Kragthorpe in the chest, hitting the coach in his pacemaker. Kragthorpe has Parkinson’s disease.
LSU staffers and players came to Kragthorpe’s defense after that, with Kevin Faulk appearing to trade swings with Fisher.

Fisher says he and others have been looking at video of the incident and taking statements of what happened. He says the matter has been addressed internally.

Fisher’s response will come across as quite weak to those who want to see discipline for Cole.
