LSU QB Joe Burrow’s first interception was a costly pick-six
Joe Burrow’s first career interception was a costly one.
Burrow threw a pick-six with under two minutes to go in LSU’s game against Florida on Saturday. He was facing a blitz and tried to throw a short out to a receiver by the sideline, but the route was jumped by Gators DB Brad Stewart.
Stewart not only got the interception, but he also returned it 25 yards for a touchdown.

The touchdown plus extra point put the Gators up by eight, 27-19.
Burrow wasn’t known for making huge plays for the Tigers during the season, but what he did best was avoid mistakes. That was one of his first big mistakes, and it hurt the Tigers in a big way.
