Miami radio call of final play is fantastic (Audio)
The joy of Miami fans upon seeing/hearing the miracle kickoff return for a touchdown against Duke on Saturday is best expressed by the radio crew that called the game.
Announcers Joe Zagacki and Don Bailey Jr. gave a great call of the final play for WQAM/Hurricanes Sports Network, starting with the play-by-play so well called by Zagacki. The overjoyed reaction after the referees decided to let the play stand were incredible.
We also have audio from Duke radio on IMG Sports Network. The incredible part is you hear the radio team talking about how lucky Duke was to escape with a win thanks to their touchdown that gave the Blue Devils the lead with six seconds left. Little did they know what would happen …
It was quite a controversial play, and Duke certainly has many arguments to make that the referees flubbed the call.
