Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour suffered what appeared to be a very serious injury on Saturday against Maryland.
Dwumfour went down late in the second quarter against the Terrapins, and took quite a while to be carted off the field. Michigan radio indicated that he was struggling to put any weight on the leg and needed a wheelchair.

There was some speculation that Dwumfour may have suffered an Achilles injury, but Michigan has confirmed nothing at this point. It seems safe to assume that he won’t be returning to the game.
Dwumfour had played in every game to date this season, collecting 12 total tackles.
