Tua Tagovailoa is being flown to Houston for a Monday hip surgery, according to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
In a statement, the school said it has consulted with numerous experts on who would be best to treat the dislocated hip Tagovailoa suffered in Saturday’s game. They will ultimately send him to Houston, and surgery has been scheduled for Monday.

If nothing else, this is probably encouraging for Tagovailoa’s long-term recovery. Alabama clearly did its homework when it comes to finding the right surgeon for their star quarterback, and as long as there are no complications, a full recovery remains likely.
Tagovailoa has been keeping his spirits up since the injury as well. It seems he’s doing as well as he can be given the circumstances.
