UCF is aiming high as it looks to replace Scott Frost as its next head coach.

ESPN also reported the same about UCF targeting Sumlin:
Sources tell Andrea Adelson and me that Kevin Sumlin is UCF's No. 1 target to be its next coach. CBS Tampa first reported the interest and that a deal could be reached today. UCF is looking to move quickly to replace Scott Frost, who Saturday left to… https://t.co/HjW4QF2WcG

Sumlin was just fired by Texas A&M after six seasons leading the Aggies. He had tremendous success with Johnny Manziel as his quarterback in his first season, less success the following season, and he went 8-5 three straight years before being fired after going 7-5 this year. If he takes over UCF, he’d be able to coach talented quarterback McKenzie Milton, who is a sophomore.
Landing Sumlin would be a big win for UCF. Sumlin may choose to wait for a more prominent job instead.
