The college football transfer portal is full of plenty of storylines, but the biggest might be regarding Washington Huskies quarterback Demond Williams.
Williams signed a new deal to stay with Washington, but days later revealed he wanted to enter the transfer portal in a seismic move. Now, Washington is expected to take legal action against Williams, and his agent, Doug Hendrickson of Wassmerman Football, announced he will no longer represent Williams.
Hendrickson also represents Washington head coach Jedd Fisch.
“I have made the decision to end my representation with Demond Williams Jr. effective immediately due to philosophical differences. Demond is an incredible talent and we wish him and his family the best in their future endeavors.”
Williams’ decision to enter the portal has created a ton of questions in the college football landscape, and now his agent is backing out of his representation.
Darren Heitner of Heitner Legal announced he has been retained as legal counsel for the Huskies QB.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Washington is expected to take legal action against Williams in hopes of him enforcing the contract he had signed previously.

Williams had committed to the Arizona Wildcats in 2023 and enrolled in 2024, but he entered the portal and went to Washington alongside Fisch.
In 2025, Williams won the QB1 job, and he threw for 3,065 yards with 25 touchdowns and another 611 yards and six scores in the rushing game.
As of now, the Williams drama continues, and this will be a situation to monitor over the next week.
