Falcon Heights shooting victim Phil Castile dies – girlfriend took video
A disturbing video circulated on social media Wednesday evening that shows the aftermath of a police shooting that led to the ultimate death of 32-year-old Phil Castile in Falcon Heights, Minn.
Castile was in a vehicle with girlfriend Diamond Reynolds, who was in the passenger seat, and her 4-year-old daughter in the back.
Reynolds recorded a video that shows Castile covered in blood, the apparent victim of a shooting from an officer. She says in the video, which was on Facebook but later removed, that they were pulled over for a broken tail light. She says police asked Castile for his license and registration, and he informed the officer he was carrying a gun, for which he held a permit. The officer apparently told Castile to keep his hands up, but he reached for his wallet to grab his license and ended up shot four times.
