The Cincinnati Bengals tried to get tricky on Monday night. They were the ones who ended up getting tricked.
The Bengals took on the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Jaguars and Bengals each scored a touchdown early in the third to tie the game up at 21 with just over 5 minutes left in the quarter.
The Bengals got the ball back on their own 25. Chaos ensued on the very first play of their possession.

Bengals quarterback Jake Browning threw a backwards pass to wide receiver Tyler Boyd. Boyd then looked to throw the ball and tossed it toward running back Joe Mixon. Jaguars defensive end Josh Allen was lurking between Boyd and Mixon as the play developed. He leaped up and intercepted the pass once Boyd tried to get the pigskin to Mixon.

Boyd looked quite uncomfortable making the cross-field pass to his Bengals teammate. He tried to run up closer to Mixon before throwing the ball, but still wound up throwing a pass that was well short of the intended target. The former second-round pick evidently wasn’t drafted for his arm strength.
The Jaguars was able to capitalize on the interception. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence used his wide wingspan to reach for a go-ahead touchdown to give Jacksonville a 28-21 lead.
The Jaguars QB, however, was forced out of the game after suffering a scary injury (video here).
