Bill O’Brien hasn’t considered benching Brock Osweiler
Brock Osweiler has been stinking up the joint so badly as of late that he’s beginning to attract flies, but Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien appears to still believe in him.
O’Brien said on Tuesday that he has yet to consider benching Osweiler, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

The 25-year-old quarterback was comically awful in Monday night’s loss to the Denver Broncos, throwing for just 131 yards with zero touchdowns and a lost fumble. Through seven games, Osweiler has compiled only 1,533 passing yards to go along with eight touchdowns and eight interceptions.
There were some rumblings recently that O’Brien and Osweiler weren’t seeing eye-to-eye with regard to playcalling, but O’Brien is making it seem like Osweiler is still his guy, at least to the public. Teammates have also sprung to their struggling QB’s defense recently, but it’s worth wondering how much longer the Texans will sit back and watch Osweiler stumble over his own feet before giving backup Tom Savage a crack at it.
