Report: Broncos interested in RG3 if they can’t keep Brock Osweiler
The Denver Broncos are reportedly considering signing Robert Griffin III this offseason if they can’t keep Brock Osweiler.
Osweiler is set to become a free agent, and it is unclear how much money he will command now that he played fairly well as a starting quarterback in Peyton Manning’s absence. According to NFL reporter Benjamin Allbright, the Broncos have discussed Griffin as a contingency plan.

Assuming Peyton Manning retires, it’s unclear what role the Broncos would envision for RG3. They could, in theory, re-sign Osweiler as their starting quarterback and still sign Griffin — who will probably come cheap — as a backup. Denver is said to be waiting for Manning to make an official decision before deciding how to proceed with Osweiler.
Making matters more complicated for the Broncos is that Von Miller is set to become a free agent, and the team could have to use the franchise tag on him. Osweiler would be a good candidate for the tag if Denver can work out a long-term extension with Miller.
As for Griffin, there are many who believe he is going to end up with a certain team in the Lone Star State. If not, he has to feel pretty good about multiple teams reportedly having interest.
