Browns fan’s excitement over Odell Beckham trade led to 911 being called
Cleveland Browns fans are understandably excited with the moves their team has made over the past several days, but few expressed themselves with more enthusiasm than the man who celebrated so hard a neighbor called the police.
After the Browns acquired Odell Beckham Jr. in a trade with the New York Giants late Tuesday night, a woman in Shaker Heights, Ohio, called 911 to report a man who was “yelling and screaming and, like, flailing his arms” out in front of her house. Fortunately, there was no emergency.

“Boom, we got OBJ,” the fan later explained. “I was so excited I couldn’t help myself. I was just jumping around my house and my little brother told me to stop, but I couldn’t because I was so excited. Couldn’t nothing stop me.”
The officers who responded to the call, also Browns fans, were equally excited.
The Browns finished 7-8-1 last season after not winning a single game in 2017, so their supporters have plenty of reason to feel energized. If you saw the way Twitter reacted to the Beckham deal, you know this guy wasn’t the only one who went nuts about it.
