It had to have felt bittersweet for Carson Wentz to stand on the sidelines on Sunday while his teammates defeated the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, but all in all it has been a pretty good week for the star quarterback — both in his career and personal life.
On Tuesday, Wentz announced that he proposed to his girlfriend Maddie Oberg. She said yes.

Despite the torn ACL that kept him out of the Super Bowl, life is good for Wentz. He’s just 25 and was well on his way to winning the NFL MVP award before he suffered a knee injury, so there’s a good chance he’ll be able to play in a Super Bowl one day. He handled the situation about as well as he could and sent an awesome tweet about backup QB Nick Foles before Foles led the team to a win.
