Chiefs RB Spencer Ware may have avoided ACL injury in knee
Spencer Ware suffered a knee injury during the Kansas City Chiefs’ preseason game on Friday night, but it may not have been a catastrophic injury.
Ware has what the team has temporarily termed a sprained knee. He will undergo more testing to determine whether there was any ligament damage to his knee.
Both NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Adam Schefter say there is no damage to Ware’s ACL. The bad news is Schefter says Ware may have a PCL injury.
Chiefs think Spencer Ware suffered PCL injury, but he will undergo an MRI on Saturday to determine extent of injury. ACL thought to be fine.

Ware was likely to open the season atop the Chiefs’ depth chart. Kareem Hunt and Charcandrick West will be next in line for carries if West has to miss time, which will probably be the case.
