Philip Rivers is looking for a new NFL team for the first time in his professional career, and there are a few AFC teams that could be the most likely landing spots for him.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport said on Wednesday that the Indianapolis Colts appear to make the most sense for Rivers. He also mentioned the Las Vegas Raiders as a possibility, if the Raiders look for a veteran.

Rivers to the Colts is not exactly a new idea. Rivers’ former Chargers teammate, Melvin Gordon, mentioned Indianapolis as a possibility for the quarterback two weeks ago.
Colts owner Jim Irsay said they are considering Jacoby Brissett for next season, but there is no way they wouldn’t want an upgrade. The question is whether they still think the 38-year-old has some magic left. Rivers passed for 4,615 yards, 23 touchdowns and 20 interceptions last season, which was his worst statistical season since arguably 2011.
The Raiders still have Derek Carr under contract for the next two seasons, at under $20 million for each year.
