Deshaun Watson has chosen a new team, and the decision came as a shock to the NFL world.
Watson has agreed to waive his no-trade clause for the Cleveland Browns, according to multiple reports. The Browns are in the process of finalizing a deal with the Houston Texans.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reports that Watson will sign a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract with the Browns when the trade is completed.

Deshaun Watson gets a fully guaranteed 5 year $230M contract. That is $80M more than the previous record for fully guaranteed money at signing ($150M). This deal was negotiated by David Mulugheta of Athletes First. https://t.co/nQls9WRpD1

Reports earlier in the week indicated Watson had informed the Browns they were out of the running for him, but they kept recruiting. It seemed like Watson was planning to choose the Atlanta Falcons until Cleveland’s brass changed his mind.
Baker Mayfield has publicly requested that the Browns trade him, and he will obviously get his wish. He reportedly has strong interest in one AFC team.
