Ex-Browns executive Sashi Brown making NFL return
Former Cleveland Browns executive Sashi Brown is returning to the NFL with a division rival of his former team.
Brown, who has been working for the company that manages the Washington Wizards and Mystics, is leaving to join the Baltimore Ravens. His exact role with the Ravens is unclear.
Sashi Brown is leaving Monumental Sports and the Washington Wizards to return to the NFL as an executive with the Baltimore Ravens, sources tell me and @AdamSchefter. Brown had previously been the Cleveland Browns GM.

Brown is clearly respected in the sports world despite his unsuccessful tenure with the Browns. As the team’s executive vice president between 2013 and 2017, he oversaw the organizational freefall that led to an 0-16 campaign in 2017. He was fired at the end of that season, and his successor notably delivered a publicly scathing assessment of the work Brown did.
Eric DeCosta is firmly entrenched as the Ravens’ GM, so Brown likely won’t have a huge say in personnel matters. The Ravens may be bringing Brown in to deal more on the business side of things.
