One Pittsburgh Steelers enthusiast tried to get up close and personal to the action this weekend and actually succeeded to an extent.
Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported on Saturday that a fan dressed up in shoulder pads and a helmet somehow made it past security at Steelers practice and attempted to participate in some drills. Fittipaldo adds that the fan was eventually seen being escorted off the practice field and that neither the Steelers nor head coach Mike Tomlin had any comment about the incident afterwards.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review also shared an image of the alleged intruder:

Steelers camp tales place on the campus of Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pa., and Saturday’s practice was open to the public, per the team’s official site.
Whoever that fan was now has one heck of a story to tell along with perhaps a couple of charges for trespassing. You can’t help but admire the dedication though, as fans of the Steelers are definitely known for.
