Fantasy owners react to Drew Brees throwing TDs to unusual suspects
Drew Brees had a very efficient day in the New Orleans Saints’ 31-17 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night, but you wouldn’t know that if you took a poll of the fantasy football world.
Brees completed 15-of-22 passes for 171 yards and four touchdowns. How many of those scores went to Michael Thomas? None. How about Alvin Kamara? Nope. A screen pass to Mark Ingram? Afraid not. Tommylee Lewis, Dan Arnold, Austin Carr and Keith Kirkwood — all undrafted free agents — each caught one of Brees’ touchdowns.
As you might expect, this did not sit well with fantasy owners who were hoping for big nights from their stud players on Thanksgiving.
Drew Brees may love his own team but he definitely hates your fantasy team. TDs to… Kirkwood, Arnold, Carr, and Lewis.

My fantasy team hates the Saints right now…4 TDs and none of any relevance unless you have Drew Brees. Turning it off now. #ATLvsNO

As an owner of Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram in fantasy on thanksgiving I would like to say I am NOT thankful for Drew Brees. #TDsforRBs @uc_tony

Of course, the Saints don’t care about anything other than getting the win. Brees is having an MVP-caliber season, and he has now thrown touchdown passes to 13 different teammates this year. That shows how dangerous the Saints are and why they have emerged as the clear-cut favorites to win the NFC.
