Report: Greg Hardy partied a lot this season with Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys made a controversial decision to sign Greg Hardy this season, and while his play on the field was strong, he apparently created headaches for the franchise off the field.
Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole reports that Hardy partied a lot this season and that the Cowboys are unlikely to bring him back as a result.
“The problem for the Cowboys is Hardy partied a lot during the season and simply was not in great physical shape as the season wore on and on.” Cole said. “That was part of the reason he was tardy to several meetings during the season and part of the reason the team felt so distracted by his presence.”
Cole’s info jives with a previous report from the Dallas Morning News earlier this month that said the Cowboys had extra security for Hardy. You may recall that Hardy even cancelled a nightclub event in November after catching heat for it.
Hardy recorded six sacks and 35 tackles in 12 games this season, earning just under $9 million. Though he has the kind of talent teams covet, the market for him will be limited because of his baggage, which includes partying and tardiness in addition to the much larger issue of being an accused woman beater.
