The quarterback market came to life in a big way this week, and Jimmy Garoppolo could be the next big name to find a new team.
The San Francisco 49ers have made clear that Garoppolo is available in trade talks, and one team may be standing out in its interest. The Indianapolis Colts are likely to be “very much in the mix” for Garoppolo, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Rapoport added that things “have heated up pretty quickly” regarding Garoppolo and several teams have spoken to the 49ers about the quarterback, including the Colts.

The fit between Garoppolo and the Colts is incredibly obvious. Indianapolis traded Carson Wentz on Wednesday, and have no clear replacement on the roster. A pursuit of Garoppolo makes complete sense.
From what we’ve heard, the 49ers’ asking price for Garoppolo is fairly reasonable. The Colts will do their homework, but it would not be a surprise if this ultimately happens.
