Joey Bosa may be held out Week 1 with foot injury
Joey Bosa suffered an injured foot during practice roughly a month ago, and he has been unable to take part in much football activity since. While it was initially believed that the injury would not affect his status for Week 1, that optimism could be waning.
On Thursday, Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn told reporters that there’s a chance Bosa could miss Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Anthony Lynn said Joey Bosa (foot) will again be limited today. “He’ll be ready when he’s ready,” Lynn said. “There’s a possibility he won’t be with us [vs Chiefs].” #chargers

That’s quite the change in tone from Lynn, who said back on Aug. 25 that he “absolutely” expects Bosa to be ready to go at the start of the regular season.
Bosa, a former No. 3 overall pick, appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers last season and recorded 12.5 sacks. He has 23 sacks over his first 28 NFL games and is one of the best pass-rushers in football. Being without him for regular season games would be a huge obstacle for L.A. to overcome.
