Josh Gordon raves about ‘natural’ relationship with Tom Brady

Josh Gordon

Josh Gordon has already fared well on the field for the New England Patriots.

After spending his entire with the Cleveland Browns, Gordon was traded to the Patriots last month. He’s caught four passes for 82 yards and a touchdown in two games, and he says his relationship with quarterback Tom Brady is going well.

“We make sure if there’s something that might be a concern for him or me, or he wants to know how I like to do something, or I want to know how he wants to do something, I just ask and he’s open about it. It makes it easy for me to communicate with him and makes it a real natural type of relationship,” Gordon told reporters via ESPN’s Mike Reiss.

Brady and Gordon have lockers next to each other, which leads them to talk football together regularly. The receiver says that in addition to Brady, the team’s coaches and even the people in the town have been welcoming and helpful during his transition.

Gordon has only played 36 snaps over the last two games. He continues to be limited at practice because of his hamstring, so he still probably won’t play a full slate of snaps against Kansas City. But as he’s shown, he doesn’t need to be on the field all the time to make a big impact.
