Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is one of the best in the game at what he does, and he wants to pass some of that knowledge down to his new teammate.
The Falcons made wide receiver Calvin Ridley their first selection in the NFL Draft, an Alabama product like Jones. The veteran says he’s “very excited” to help Ridley become a quality player in the NFL.
“I’m very excited. I’m very excited,” Jones told TMZ, via Adam Spencer of Saturday Down South. “There’s so much I can teach him. He’s a raw talent. Very talented guy. But coming to the next level, it’s always good to have an older-head guy in there to help you. … He’s built by Bama, man.”
Jones isn’t at Atlanta OTAs, but it doesn’t sound like he’s planning a long absence since he’s speaking excitedly about the future of the franchise.
