Mike Tomlin has been the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers for longer than many young NFL fans have been alive. Nothing conveyed that point better than a before and after photo of Tomlin signing contracts with the Steelers 17 years apart.
Tomlin’s agency Goal Line Football shared photos via Instagram on Monday of Tomlin signing his Steelers deals. The 52-year-old coach was with his agent Brian Levy for both photos.
“Still doing deals… 17 years later. Same room, same table, same 2 dudes… just older, wiser and with less hair.
“Congrats Mike T. Well earned,” the post said.

The post really said it all — same guys, just older and with less hair.
With the frequency of firings we see in the NFL, it’s truly remarkable that Tomlin has held his position since 2007 and is now signed through 2027. For comparison, the AFC North-rival Cleveland Browns have had nine different head coaches (including interim ones) during the same span.
