Mike Tomlin provides update on Ben Roethlisberger’s elbow injury rehab
Ben Roethlisberger has spent the better part of the last year rehabbing from an elbow injury that sidelined him early on last season, and all indications have been that he will be ready to play in Week 1. On Tuesday, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin provided yet another encouraging update.
Tomlin told reporters Roethlisberger is “comfortable” with where he’s at in his recovery and those who have worked with the 38-year-old are “impressed and pleased.” Tomlin also said Big Ben has gotten positive feedback from medical experts.
Mike Tomlin on progress of Ben Roethlisberger: "He's comfortable and pleased where he is. Some people who had the opportunity to work with him are impressed and pleased where he is. The medical experts are comfortable where he is and his readiness for 2020."

One Steelers player recently raved about the work Roethlisberger has been putting in, so there has definitely been a positive feeling surrounding the quarterback’s rehab. Roethlisberger also hyped his teammates up with a comeback video he posted last month.
Some initially wondered if Roethlisberger would retire after the elbow injury, but he never put that option on the table — at least publicly. The Steelers have a solid defense, and Big Ben is just two years removed from throwing for 5,129 passing yards and 34 touchdowns. If he’s fully healthy to start the year, Pittsburgh could fly under the radar as one of the better teams in the AFC.
