Those worried about technical glitches during the virtual NFL Draft won’t be cheered by reports coming out of Monday’s test run.
Teams gathered Monday for a mock run of the first round, with everyone wanting to familiarize themselves with the virtual format ahead of Thursday’s first round. ESPN’s Adam Schefter relayed a text from a participant stating that the Cincinnati Bengals already had a technical difficulty of some sort on the very first pick.

One general manager told ESPN’s Dianna Russini that executives on the conference call aren’t hitting mute and things are chaotic.
Text from a GM during this mock draft “there are early communication issues because 32 of us GMs are on conference call and we didn’t hit mute. Sounds awful”

There are two ways of looking at this. One is that this is why we do trial runs, because it’s better that these issues happen now instead of the real event. The other is that this is not a great sign so close to the actual draft.
This is probably one reason why some NFL teams were really unhappy to see the draft go ahead. Fingers crossed that everything runs smoothly on Thursday.
