Nick Foles briefly leaves Eagles game after big Jadeveon Clowney hit
Nick Foles briefly exited the Philadelphia Eagles’ game against the Houston Texans on Sunday after taking a big hit from Jadeveon Clowney.
The Eagles were down 30-29 late in the game to Houston and were facing a 3rd-and-10 from their 11. Foles was able to complete a pass to Alshon Jeffery for the first down but was crushed by Jadeveon Clowney on the play. Clowney nailed him in the chest, knocking the wind out of the quarterback, according to the CBS broadcast team.

Clowney was penalized for roughing the passer, which helped the Eagles gain even more yardage on the drive. But there was a price for Foles, who exited the game and was replaced by Nate Sudfeld for a play.
Foles was able to come back into the game and led the Eagles into field goal range so they could win the game on a Jake Elliott field goal.
Foles’ status will be something to watch after taking that big hit, especially with Carson Wentz dealing with a back injury.
