The Carolina Panthers are being very quiet as to Cam Newton’s status.
The Panthers quarterback left Sunday’s game against Atlanta after taking a hit to the head on a two point attempt. The quarterback was immediately put into concussion protocol.
When Newton’s status came up after the game, the Panthers were tight-lipped.

It’s not a great sign. It means Newton hasn’t been cleared yet, so there definitely has to be concern for him going forward.
Note that this isn’t the first time Newton has had a brush with head injuries in 2016. The hope is it’s not serious.
