Report: Sammy Watkins does not need foot surgery, could return this season
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins recently received some good news about his surgically-repaired foot.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Watkins will not need to undergo a second surgery and could return later in the season.
After seeing Dr. Anderson, the recommendation for #Bills WR Sammy Watkins was no surgery, just rest & rehab. Late-season return is possible

Watkins was placed on injured reserve at the end of last month, which means he has to remain out for a minimum of eight weeks. It is definitely a positive sign that Watkins does not need another surgery, though he will need to be more careful in practice than we was earlier in the season.
At this point, it sounds like the issue with Watkins’ foot is one of pain management. The Bills will likely evaluate where they are heading as a team in about six more weeks to decide if they want to have Watkins risk suffering another setback.
