Seahawks player says no to sex week before Super Bowl

January 27, 2014 by Steve DelVecchio • Comments

No-sexDo women weaken legs? Mickey Goldmill told Rocky Balboa to knock off the crap with Adrian when he was training to fight Apollo Creed, and personally I believe anything that Mickey says. At least one Seattle Seahawks player does, too.

On Monday, Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman spoke with a Seahawks player and asked him about the week leading up to the Super Bowl. The Seahawks have already traveled to New York for game, and we all know there is plenty to do in the Big Apple when it comes to nightlife. That won’t be an issue for this player.

Seahawks player says no partying for him. Nothing but football. He added: "No sex for me the entire week. That's how serious I am."

There are plenty of differing opinions when it comes to the topic of sex and sports. MMA champion Ronda Rousey has said multiple times that she enjoys having sex before fights. Manny Pacquiao, on the other hand, goes several weeks without monkey business when he has a big fight coming up. One soccer team even thinks they helped lower their injury rate by banning sex two days before games.

Perhaps this particular player is not married or in a serious relationship. There’s probably a difference between messing around with your wife or girlfriend and going out and meeting women when you have a game to focus on. Either way, Mickey would be proud.
