Terrell Owens competing in PBA World Series of Bowling

Terrell Owens

terrell-owensTerrell Owens still thinks he could be playing in the NFL, but since no teams have shown interest in him for a while, he’s turned his attention to bowling.

T.O. has been heavily focused on bowling for at least the past year. He is a part owner of the Dallas Strikers of the new Professional Bowlers Association League. He made his semi-pro debut competing in the United States Bowling Congress Open Championship in May. Now he’s trying to qualify at the PBA World Series of Bowling.

The event will be held this weekend at the South Point hotel in Las Vegas and Owens is hoping to qualify, though he doubts he’ll make it past qualifying. Owens claims his high game is 288. In the summer, he had an average of 167 at the United States Bowling Congress Championship. That’s not bad, but it certainly doesn’t seem to be professional level.

Owens, 39, hasn’t played in the NFL since suffering a knee injury while with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010. Those who follow him on Twitter know many of his tweets are bowling-related these days. And for those living in the LA-area, chance are you might run into TO if you head out to Corbin Bowl or Woodlake in the West Valley.
