Watch: Tony Romo began the Super Bowl with a joke
One of the big stories about the big game had to do with Tony Romo calling his first Super Bowl.
Romo is only in his second year as a broadcaster, having recently retired as an NFL quarterback. To go from playing to being a big part of a network’s top NFL team — and shining in that role — is an impressive ascension.
As he took the mic alongside Jim Nantz for the pregame on Sunday, Romo showed he was ready for the big game by cracking a joke.

As good as he was as a quarterback, Romo never made it past the divisional round of the playoffs. He’s already making even more noise as a top-notch broadcaster.
