
Tony Romo is gearing up for his return.
The Dallas Cowboys quarterback threw at practice on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a compression fracture in his back.

According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Romo threw with good velocity from between 5 and 25 yards. Coach Jason Garrett said they would take his recovery day by day going forward.
There remain hurdles to clear before Romo can return. He still isn’t ready for contact and given the success of Dak Prescott, the Cowboys are taking their sweet time.
