Olympic runner Nick Symmonds goes on a date with Paris Hilton
Olympic runner Nick Symmonds spends most of his time preparing for the London Games. However, he recently got a chance to spend some downtime with someone who is apparently very special to him. According to NBC Sports, Symmonds recently visited Los Angeles and went on a date with Paris Hilton.
With rain falling at the site of the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon, Symmonds says he was relaxing in Beverly Hills when he got a surprise email from Hilton, who was flying in from New York. She asked if they could meet, and he arranged for a meeting at the Beverly Hills Hotel — a spot that is known for being very private.
“Three weeks out from the Trials, I thought that would be a much-needed quick escape,” Symmonds said. “I was pleasantly surprised to be able to sit down with Paris Hilton one-on-one and get to know her a little bit better.”
Having admired Hilton for a while, the Olympian says he wanted to make a big impression. He remembered that she loves the color pink, so he put together a care package for her that included a pink Timex Ironman watch, a pink bottle of bubble bath, a pink and white beach towel from the Beverly Hills Hotel, a pink luggage tag and a few other goodies.
“She liked it very much and thought it was very sweet,” he said. “She is a very intelligent, very kind woman who is even more beautiful in person than I had expected. There were the first two or three minutes where I was thinking to myself, ‘I can’t believe I’m here sitting in The Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel having a gin and tonic with Paris Hilton, while she’s sipping a mint mojito.”
Looks like Symmonds is having more luck with the ladies than he auctioning himself off on eBay earlier this year. He said him and Paris exchanged phone numbers and have texted a bit since. I realize he’s a small town guy, but we are talking about the same Paris Hilton, right? Intelligent? Beautiful? Maybe I’m missing something.
