Jon Jones has some weight to lose before his UFC 165 fight

Jon Jones weight gain

Jon Jones has spent the past three months recovering from a toe injury sustained in his win over Chael Sonnen at UFC 159, and he’s gained some weight during that time. Jones has been eating junk food during his recovery and now has a slight gut working.

But Jones isn’t at all worried. He knows that he will get back in shape before his UFC 165 fight against Alexander Gustafsson on Sept. 21 in Toronto, so he’s having some fun with his pudge while he’s got it.

Jones tweeted the picture seen above and said that would be the last of his gut because he’s bringing sexy back:

Ok so here's that b4 pic. I obviously have some work to do. #Judgers #bringingsexyback #yesICan pic.twitter.com/ek3hHXOmsi

It’s not much of a mystery how Jones put on the weight. When you combine some of the pictures of fast food he’s been sharing with the inability to exercise while recovering, it all adds up.

Unfortunately for Jones, the good old days of fast food are going out the window now that he’s turning up the training.

From burgers, fries and nachos to salads and proteins shakes. I made the choice to start today, Feels good!! #Poweroverself Exercise it

Before long, he’ll have his six pack back.

So ready to get the six pack back lol “@PHWboss1: @JonnyBones good news Mr. Jones”

Jones has never shown up for a fight in less than great shape, so we have no doubt he’ll be in optimal condition when Sept. 21 rolls around.
