Cincinnati Bengals full-time idiot savant and part-time wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is trying out this week for the Kansas City Sporting of the MLS. KC’s coach has been adamant that the tryout is not a publicity stunt and that both sides are taking things very seriously.
I don’t disagree, but it still doesn’t change that this is being done for publicity.
In the video above, you can watch Chad on the pitch doing warmups and drills for the Sporting. I don’t doubt that Chad loves soccer nor that the KC franchise would love to have him make their team. The problem is he hasn’t played since high school and probably was not professional material anyway.
And in case you are in denial, just ask yourself this question: would any other non-celebrity who hasn’t played since high school get a tryout with the team? Unless it were a tryout open to the public, the answer is no.
