I usually don’t buy into clubhouse personality issues, but you could be right about this one in terms of how it’s impacted the other players.

Oh, I’m not trying to make the case that DeWitt is a better hitter than Kent. I’m just saying that his being out of that clubhouse allows the guys to open up, have a little more fun, and be loose without some chapass veteran in his locker telling them to turn the music down and not bother him.

Purely a locker room argument, not on the field.

In all fairness, if Blake DeWitt homered twice against the Padres pitching and Berroa got one out, I won’t even venture to guess what Kent would have done. It is shocking to see a team that got swept by the Nats go out and beat Haren and Webb in consecutive days. Crazy team.
