Yankees score 6 runs in the 7th inning with 3 outs.

Home plate umpire calls an obvious strike ball four.

I guess he got the memo from the league office
requiring the umpires to favor the Yankees on all
calls and help them get the the World Series.

We have seen this many times before with umpires
and the Yankees and it makes us wonder if
MLB is fixed for the Yankees and TV ratings!!??

Let me start by saying the calls were herendous, but the umpires are human, when Aybar and Figgins let a ball drop between them, or Hunter misses the ball off his glove , these are just excused as errors. But when an umpires blows a call there is either a conspiracy and the man is being pushed to retire. Unbelievable, the guy had a bad night, I would love to be able to come to your place of work and rate you every decision. Where are the appologies from Aybar, Figgins and Hunter for thier errors, it doesn't happen and the umpires should not have to appologize either, they are doing the best they can. Yes instant replay should be impletemented on calls at the bases. There is no way to reverse a foul ball call as the play is dead. By the way the Angels have been out hit and out pitched so far, stop looking for excuses by some bad calls.

What happened to the Dodgers ? After winning the Division they disappeared !!! Who is that team playing the Phillies ? Did someone put a curse on both of the L.A. teams ? They both played great ball in the divisonal playoffs but now they're both pooping out in the championship series. How can this be ?

The Angels are not going to the World Series this year because the Umpire have taken the life out of them. How can you win a game if the Umpires are killing you with their crappy calls. The Yankees are not going to eliminate the Angels because the Umpires already have.

As an umpire I am embarrassed by Tim McClellun. As you can see in the picture about he is on top of the play (good) but not trying to get a good angle to the tags (very bad). This proves that he is just plain lazy even with 6 umpires on the field. All he had to do was to take a couple of steps either way, instead of just leaning and lolligagging. This play at t3rd base was horrible but his lack of hustle to get in proper position on the tag up is worse...6 umpires and you can't cover the ply? Give me a break.

I want a new crew or instant replay by the next game. where are the consequences for such lousy calls? i saw no remorse by Tim in his interview. he admitted to the blown call but did not apologize for it. i think he should apologize to the angels, the fans and MLB. Tim you may have been umpiring for a long time, and you may have the respect of many in of your peers. but you are a lousy umpire. time to retire.

Last I checked, if you tag a runner when he's not on a base, he's out. He definitely tagged both men and neither was touching third. What possible explanation could they possibly have for that call? Oh, wait I just checked, I found it. Its a tiny rule, number 5.23: when a call goes against a NY Yankee, none of the rules apply.
