Blake Griffin hits game-winning 3-pointer after shooter’s roll (Video)
Blake Griffin — yes, Blake Griffin — made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Clippers a 121-120 overtime win over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night.
Griffin, who is known as an inside player and dunker, took an inbounds pass from Chris Paul and made a step-back three as the clock was winding down to give the Clips the victory. It was Blake’s second three-pointer of the game and gave him 45 points for the contest.
Griffin got a lucky bounce on the shot and recognized the force was strong with him on the play.
“I got a lucky bounce, I got lucky,” he said to Prime Ticket after the game.
Griffin is now 6-for-10 on threes this season, which is an incredible 60 percent mark. Though it’s a small sample size, Griffin is now shooting better from long distance than Kyle Korver this season, who leads the league at 55.4 percent!
