Mother Had Son Delay Appendectomy so She Could See Manny Pacquiao
By Larry Brown November 9, 2011 - Posted in Boxing

We’ve said it for a while: Manny Pacquiao is an icon and rock star. In case you didn’t believe it, maybe this story will help. One woman told an LA Times reporter that her son delayed his appendectomy so she could see Manny Pacquiao during a public workout at Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood recently. But don’t you fret, that doesn’t make her a bad mom.

“I’m not a horrible mom,” the woman said. “[My son is] not in total danger. Dad’s there with him.”

I don’t have all the facts of the case, so I can’t say if that was a bad decision for the mom. I just know that there are potentially fatal consequences if an appendix bursts.

But hey, this isn’t about a mother being irresponsible — this underscores the power of Pacquiao. You think mere mortals get their own impersonators or sway mothers leave their children during medical emergencies? No way.

That is not just a horrible mom, that is a horrible person.
No parent, real parent, would ever do that.

This is a horrible mom!!! My appendix had ruptured when I was 13 and we didn’t know yet ( I was misdiagnosed by a dr ) When we went to another dr I was rushed to the hospital for my surgery. I could have died. Doesn’t matter that the Dad is there if he isn’t getting the surgery. Put your priorities in order!
