Iowa Hawkeyes coach Fran McCaffery was ejected during the second half of his team’s 75-71 loss to Wisconsin on Sunday after bumping a referee during a meltdown.
McCaffery was presumably upset with the referees over calls on back-to-back possessions. First there was a no-call, and then one of his players was called for a foul.
The technical fouls resulted in Wisconsin receiving four free throws, which they made to take a 43-41 lead. The Badgers never surrendered the lead after seizing it thanks to McCaffery.

McCaffery has a history of showing his bad temper. Last year he slammed a chair down during a loss to Michigan State. Eye on College Basketball also points out that McCaffery’s wife was even ejected from one of his games several years ago. It’s all in the family.
