Lake County Captains offering a three-pound ‘Moby Dick’ fish sandwich

When the Lake County Captains challenged John Klein, their Director of Food and Beverage, to create a signature item to be sold at Classic Park this season, they may not have known what they were getting into. Maybe they were looking for something that contained a special sauce or some sort of food that wasn’t all that common at the ballpark. What they got was a three-pound fried fish sandwich called the “Moby Dick,” which is pictured above and contains the following:

-Five quarter-pound fish filets
-Eight slices of cheese
-Six ounces of clam strips
-A third-pound of french fries (yes, on the sandwich)
-A cup of cole slaw
-“Gobs” of lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and tartar sauce

All served on a 15-inch sesame seed hoagie roll and containing a modest 200 grams of fat and 2,000 calories. Does it come with a waiver? If you thought the Strasburger was over the top, the fixings on this fish sandwich put it to shame.

Thanks to Big League Stew for the story
