Mark Sanchez: Dancing naked butt video was ‘a little embarrassing’

It’s 2013 and we have arrived at a time when media members are asking players about embarrassing viral videos.

In June, a video of New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez dancing and showing his butt on camera went viral. The video was uploaded to a girl’s Vine account and deleted, and it supposedly was recorded by a girl who was partying with Sanchez in Napa, Calif.

Speaking to the New York Daily News from his annual “Jets West” camp in Mission Viejo, Calif., Sanchez called the video “embarrassing” and said he has learned from it.

“Obviously the video’s a little embarrassing,” Sanchez told The Daily News on Friday. “It’s just a good reminder that you’re in the spotlight… and be ever watchful and careful of who you’re with, what you’re doing. Whether it’s harmless, whether you’re in the privacy or your own setting and you feel like everything’s fine and you’re safe, you just got to be careful. That’s just a good example of that.”

Sanchez also said the video is a reminder that he has to be smart about who he’s with and that he needs to protect himself at all times.

If you listen to former Jets quarterback Erik Ainge, this is a lesson Sanchez should have learned a long time ago. Ainge said last month that Sanchez has always done dumb stuff around girls and was lucky to have people help protect him. Though Sanchez was a little embarrassed by the video, I’m guessing he still had plenty of fun that night that makes up for the embarrassment.
