With the Denver Broncos up 41-10 in the third quarter of their game Sunday in Oakland, Brock Osweiler was pretty excited at the prospect of getting a quarter’s worth of playing time. After all, the Broncos’ backup quarterback had only thrown one pass all season — an incompletion in Week 7 against the 49ers.
Osweiler looked all set to enter the game for Peyton Manning, who had thrown for five touchdowns, but there was one problem: Peyton wasn’t ready to leave the game.
The reaction from Osweiler at getting his hopes up only to return to clipboard duty was priceless. He couldn’t even hide how disappointed he was.
Fortunately Osweiler did get into the game and went 2/5 for 13 yards.
