Rob Gronkowski talks about dancing after Super Bowl, was ‘just having fun’

Rob Gronkowski called into a radio show Friday and publicly discussed the questions about him dancing shirtless after losing the Super Bowl.

“It is what it is,” Gronkowski said on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly. “We were just having fun with my brothers and stuff . . . family I haven’t seen in a while . . . and the chance of hanging out with LMFAO was pretty cool too. . . . Unfortunately we didn’t win and that was the number 1 goal.”

Gronk was extremely nervous while discussing the highly-publicized incident, often stammering over his thoughts. You almost feel badly for him — he’s a guy who works hard and means well, but he got caught doing something that made it look like he doesn’t care about winning and losing when that’s not the case.

Gronk will forever be associated with the incident, but I have little doubt he’ll push it to the back of our memories with many more successful NFL seasons in the coming years. Let’s not forget he also had the best year ever by an NFL tight end.

Oh yeah, it should be noted that he called into the radio show to try and help out a listener. Between that gesture and everything else we know about him, Gronk seems like a nice, fan-friendly guy.
