Rory McIlroy says he won $50 bet by eating broccoli and yogurt for breakfast (Picture)
If you’re wondering why Rory McIlroy is said to be one of the most marketable athletes in the world, look no further than this post.
The world No. 1 golfer tweeted Tuesday afternoon from Shanghai, China, where he’s in town for the BMW Masters, that he won $50 at breakfast by eating a bowl of broccoli topped with blueberry yogurt. We’re guessing the bet was made with countryman Graeme McDowell since he said thanks to him.
Here you have a 23-year-old who has surpassed $10 million in career earnings and is making millions more in endorsements, taking on dares like a broke college student at the mess hall. It’s that type of personality that could land him $250 million from Nike.
Don’t ever change, Rory.
This is certainly much better than the last bet he made.
