Mike Francesa appears to be caught sleeping on the air (Video)
Radio and TV simulcasts are becoming more and more common with some of the country’s bigger sports shows, and that is obviously a positive thing for ratings and revenue. One downside is that radio hosts like Mike Francesa now have to look presentable for a television audience. They also have to stay awake.
As you can see from the video above that Hardball Talk passed along, Francesa appeared to doze off during his show Tuesday while talking Yankees with WFAN’s Sweeny Murti. As soon as Murti said the word “Mike,” Francesa hopped up and appeared completely disoriented.
Hopefully Mike asked Bob Knight if he could steal his signature move before executing it to perfection. As you may recall, Knight once fell asleep on Francesa’s show and then appeared to do it again on the set of College Gameday. Maybe these media guys are staying up too late.
