Richard is completely losing it as it seems. I think he used and abused the issue of racism as a cheap marketing trick to win good promotion deals for his daughters. And this person, who openly admits hatred against the white people is trying to evoke compassion about the Indian Wells “incident”. Ridiculous! He’s the same sort of racist person as those people whom he pointed the finger on. It’s sad he passed this victim attitude on his children, especially Serena, who has become unbearably arrogant and uppity and can’t credit her rivals’ game when they outplay her. Well, done Richard…!

I don’t believe Richard Williams ever said such a terrible thing – especially not publically! In fact, publically, Mr. Williams spoke about how he and the rest of the family enjoyed Hank Kuehne’s company after Hank visited with the Williams family and sat with them during Venus’ matches at either the U.S. Open or Wimbledon a year or two ago. Millions of people heard Richard Williams speak fondly of Hank Kuehne that day. The lies should just stop about the hard working, kind Williams girls and their family! Venus and Serena are skillful, multi-talented, devoutly spiritual, friendly people.

Well, you can’t stop people from hating. I hate people ways and action.The person NO!, I don’t hate.
People can do and say ugly things but that is life. When you try to do nice things people will have a negative comment, when you do something wrong people talk, SO heck you just have to make the best of this life and make sure you keep yourself together.
As for Mr. Williams he is just concerned for his daughters and their happiness. Still he can’t live their life.

the comments above show how psychologically sick some people are. you people as an 3rd party bystander have no idea what issue mr williams and his daughters encountered in the realm of pro tennis and are in no position to comment on his observations or remarks based on his experiences. you people are truly insane to even think you could. the same irrational lens you view black peoples experiences are the problem with you people. i whole heartedly relate to mr williams experience as an father of 4 children of color in one of the most expensive private schools in the phila area. when we attend the schools social gatherings white people
keep away from the families of color like the plague. we have spoken to other parents even parents of different cultural decent and quite a few feel the same way. for what ever reason affluent whites don’t want to have anything to do with us, and thats o.k. with me. but what we hate most is when you try to play this reverse racism card on us. being that mr williams is playing a sport usually dominated by white affluent people lets be honest its not that far a stretch to assume he has suffered stiffing bigotry racism and classism that was to say the least overwhelming for him.it is interesting that this man trained not one but to athletes that totally dominated this sport, nd yet his abilities are not applauded or hailed. we understand the position of whites to downplay any kind of intelligent achievements made by blacks and try to accentuate the physical attribute but the truth is mr williams is probably the most intelligent trainer coach in tennis history and his girls are not only strong but extremely brilliant players and strategic excellence which is all accredited to a black man , yes with a very wide nose, who calls it like he sees it. and all you monday night quarterbacks trying to make statements about something you have no account of only highlights the bigotry in you. and oh yeh and in 09 racism still exists i witness it very often.

Richard Williams has poisoned the game of tennis with his prejudice and bigotry. How dare he suggest that white people hate him, I don’t hate him! And how dare he insult Tracy Austin and Chris Evert.
With this sick attitude, and deep-rooted hatred, it would have been better if he had never introduced his poison to the game of tennis or any other game.
Shame on him. People have bent over backwards to make him and his daughters feel accepted but that was never enough, it never is for a die-hard racist like him. I wish him and his family had never entered the world of tennis because all they’ve managed to achieve is to cast a shadow over the whole game.

The Williams sisters have been bad sports for years, and have gotten away with it because of the double standard. The public and the media have only recently caught on to their act. Our host, LB, tried to open everyone’s eyes last year. Kudos for that.

The media created the monster that is Richard Williams with the double standard. Instead of calling him a racist for his previous remarks about whites in general and Jews in particular, they referred to him as a “provocateur” and enabled him to ramble on with his outrageous statements on every subject. I hope somehow this article gets back to Chris Evert so she can see what she got for kissing their asses and fawning over them when she was a TV commentator.

If the guy weren’t so taken with himself, he would have gotten his daughters real coaches who would have taught them proper strokes. Then, maybe they wouldn’t have had so many real injuries (along with all of the fake ones) and they would really be in the class of Chris, Martina, and Steffi. Oh well, too bad.
